When I read &qu...I agree about the long prolouges. When I read "Water for Elephants" I was really glad that my mom (who recommended it me) told me not to read the prolouge. THe prolouge was the climatic moment of the book. Reading the prolouge would have ruined the big moment. I can't figure out why they did that.
