I ...Hi Paula, I've been enjoying your podcasts. I haven't knit the Clapotis, and don't know if I ever will. Like you, there are a lot of patterns I like better. I don't think you should be apologetic about anything you said. Yes, it is a nice pattern, but is it really so great that it should be the most popular pattern on Ravelry? Perhaps part of it is that a lot of people have knit it multiple times. It does seem to work well with varigated yarns, which not all patterns do, so that may also be part of why it's so popular.Cheryl S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03345112283242698398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-467274045211008791.post-86275391791612862052010-10-22T15:41:55.051-05:002010-10-22T15:41:55.051-05:00Yes, thank you, Shirley! I don't remember ever hearing my name!

When you first mentioned the Rip Van Winkle Challenge I thought of the Clapotis. If I wore shawls I probably would make it. I think the idea of dropping the stitches is what interests me. And the Swallowtail Shawl is on my list too. What I am going to do though is my first pair of toe up socks, if I could only decide on the pattern.

(If I could make the font smaller I would whisper. Isn't this episode 17?)Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16644227779193317549noreply@blogger.com
